The Priests Nest Terms & Conditions

House Rules

The Priests Nest is licensed to accommodate a maximum of 4 persons 

The adjacent Preachers Rest can accommodate 6 persons allowing for a party of 10 in both properties subject to availability  

The Priests Nest is available to let for a minimum of 3 nights 

The license number for the property is HI-30270-F

Departure is no later on than 11am

Arrival time is from 5pm, sorry we are unable to accept earlier check in requests 

Sorry we are unable to take dogs or other pets 

Due to the historic nature of the building no disabled facilities are provided 

The Priests Nest has a strict policy of no smoking inside the building. 

Shared parking is available to the rear – owner’s responsibility. 

We are in the process of installing vehicle electric charger but this will not be available until next season. Electric charging is available in Dunvegan which is 9 miles away 

Guests are strongly advised to obtain Holiday and Travel Insurance to cover the cost of any cancellation fees and to cover any mishaps on Skye

Payment And Deposit

The total booking fee is required at the time of booking 

Confirmation of booking will be given by email within 48 hours 

A deposit of £250 is required in addition to the booking fee and and all deposits are automatically charged

The deposit is refundable at the end of your stay provided no damage to the property or contents has occurred and that you leave the Priests Nest in the same condition you found it – this includes any surcharge for additional cleaning  

Please inform us of any accidental damage or breakages prior to departure 

We reserve the right to be the sole arbiter on repair or replacement costs for any damage incurred during your stay 

The property and contents are checked prior to your arrival and immediately after your departure to ensure everything is in place and in good working order 

In the event of any damage occurring you will be liable for the costs to remedy or replace from all or part of the deposit

We ask that you respect the building and interior contents and finishes many of which are personal to the owners and have been collected over many years 

For the avoidance of any doubt – in the event that the cost of any damage exceeds the deposit you will be liable for all excess cost to repair any damage or replace any of the interior finishes damaged in addition to the deposit

Cancellations

Thomas Telford lettings is a new venture for the owner who has tried to create a very special place for guests to Skye. Each booking makes a significant difference to the success of the venture. Cancellations happen but to accommodate these events a strict cancellation policy will be adopted  

Cancellations can only be accepted by email which has been acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt by email  

Cancellation of any booking must be made by email and be acknowledged no less than 6 calendar weeks prior to your date of arrival to ensure the rental fee is returned 

In the event of a cancellation by you being made less than 6 weeks prior to your check-in date then we will be unable to redeem your booking payment unless the accommodation can be re-let 

We will inform you by email whether or not the accommodation has been re-let by the time of your booking entry date. Where a letting has been secured we will refund your booking fee by the date of your entry but retain your £250 deposit to cover administration charges

Termination of Letting

While such occurrences are rare we do have to flag that we reserve the right to terminate your letting immediately where complaints are received by our friendly neighbours – please just respect their privacy and join us as one of the community during your stay 

Similarly with your neighbouring guests in The Preachers Rest at The Old Church – please give them the respect you would expect 

No returns in such an event – and no further reservations!
